Board members at REC Haven play a vital role in governing and guiding our faith-based nonprofit. You will help set strategic direction, ensure fiscal responsibility, and champion our mission to prevent youth crisis through love, presence, and early intervention.

Whether your background is in finance, law, healthcare, education, marketing, or community leadership — your skills can help protect children and strengthen families in Indianapolis and surrounding regions.

Strategic Direction

Help set and oversee REC Haven's long-term mission and organizational goals.

Governance & Accountability

Uphold fiduciary responsibility and ensure compliance with nonprofit standards.

Community Advocacy

Be an ambassador for REC Haven in Indianapolis and surrounding communities.

Fundraising Support

Help secure the resources needed to sustain and grow our programs.

Who We're Looking For

Qualifications & Expectations

We welcome leaders from all professional backgrounds who share a commitment to our faith-centered mission and the well-being of Indianapolis youth and families.

Demonstrated passion for youth development, crisis prevention, or family support

Professional experience in finance, legal, healthcare, marketing, education, or nonprofit leadership

Commitment to REC Haven's faith-based values and organizational mission

Connection to or familiarity with the Indianapolis / Central Indiana community

Time Commitment

Board Meetings: Held quarterly (minimum), with additional calls as needed for key decisions or initiatives.

Committee Work: Members serve on at least one committee (Finance, Programs, Fundraising, or Governance).

Events & Outreach: Attendance and support at major REC Haven events throughout the year.

Term Length: Board members serve a two-year term, renewable by mutual agreement.

Give or Get: All board members are expected to contribute personally or secure an annual gift in support of our mission.
