At REC Haven, a family nonprofit in Indianapolis, we focus on preventing youth crisis by creating safe, supportive, and nurturing environments for children and families.
Through consistent presence, faith-based support, and community outreach, we help strengthen families before crisis occurs.

Founder's Story
For as long as I can remember, God has placed a deep love for children and families on my heart. As a mother of three boys and someone who has served in schools, churches, and community programs, I’ve seen how much of a difference it makes when a child feels safe, heard, and loved. Too often, families face struggles in silence — but I believe no one should walk through hardship alone. Over time, this calling has become clear: to help prevent youth crisis by being present early, offering support, and creating safe spaces for families before hardship becomes overwhelming.
REC Haven was born out of prayer, perseverance, and a vision that God has been shaping in me for years. What began as a quiet stirring has grown into a mission to provide Refuge, Encouragement, and Care for children and families in need. We exist to be a light in the darkness — offering support, resources, and a reminder of God’s love in practical and life-changing ways.
This journey has not always been easy. Balancing motherhood, school, work, and building a nonprofit from the ground up has stretched me in ways I never imagined. Yet, through every challenge, God has continued to open doors, provide resources, and bring people alongside me to make this vision a reality. I hold tightly to the promise of Psalm 46:1 (ESV): “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
REC Haven is not just an organization; it is a calling. My hope is that every person we reach feels the love of Christ, the strength of community, and the assurance that they are never forgotten.
